Toronto's Armchair Athletes
This exhibit spotlights Toronto’s spectator sports and the fanatics who watch them. There are fans loyal through thick and thin, and some who show up to cheer winning teams and athletes at the eleventh hour. Some prefer to be casual observers of team sports but are dedicated to watching and coaching marathon runners. This exhibit traces the history of Toronto fans and their memorabilia – from items celebrating the Blue Jays’ World Series championships to the hockey mom’s and soccer dad’s homemade signs for their children’s games.
